Calls for nuclear energy to replace fossil fuels

Almost two-thirds of readers surveyed want Australia to consider small modular nuclear reactors as part of the solution for replacing fossil fuels according to a snap poll taken last week.

The reactors are being researched as a replacement for aging first-generation nuclear plants and potentially for coal-fired generators.
